Music is a vital and exciting dimension of our worship together. It allows us to connect with God and one another in a joyful way. The music styles we draw on are a varied as the people in our church family - the exquisite organ works of Bach, the rich choral anthems of Brahms, the freedom of jazz, the energy and passion of pop and rock. Every person enjoys one musical style more than another. It's important to include the best music from as many styles as possible, so that we can all find the joyful element that music brings to worship
The music we use for worship draws on traditional sources that connect to generations past, as well as fresh, new creations that resonate with who we are today. Classic hymns from the Pilgrim Hymnal stand alongside Christian contemporary songs from The New Century Hymnal. Our majestic pipe organ rouses us to sing - the gentle piano quiets us towards prayer and meditation - the joyful sounds of keyboard, guitar, and percussion stir us to praise. We invite you to browse some selected music podcasts.
We have several fine choirs composed of musical members of the congregation of all ages. The choirs are open to anyone who wishes to join at any time of the year, for any length of time.
