Connections & Fulfillment

The Board of Missions and Social Action has two main objectives:

       (1)  provide goods and services to those in need both here and abroad.

For more than 30 years, our church has been a part of Appalachia Service Project (www.asphome.org).  ASP is a home repair mission project that serves the impoverished Appalachia region of our country.  Over 40 members of our Church (youth & adults) witness our true Christian mission first hand – helping people in need.  Everyone that has been on an ASP trip will agree that we get just as much (if not more) out of it by being part of God’s mission. As a group, we experience so many challenges and wonderful “God Moments” together that it is impossible to summarize.  We encourage you to seek out an ASP volunteer to hear their stories first hand.  Participation with ASP is an unforgettable experience.  Youth who have completed 9th grade are welcome to participate, as well as adults to be leaders and drivers. Come join us when we put out a call for  volunteers.  It is an incredible and memorable opportunity to serve the community of Central Appalachia and to do God’s work.
